There are so many wonderful Dr Suess quotes and all of them are inspiring.
I have a personal fave. It goes like this:
You are never too old, too wacky, too wild,
to pick up a book and read to a child.
I know, it doesn’t steer feet triumphantly toward the future like some of the other more well known quotes, but I like it and have tried to make it an important rule in my life. I like to think that perhaps I’ve done well following it, because my daughter now likes to pick up a book and read to me – funny voices and all.
The good doctor has been inspiring children since his first books were published in the 1940s. As Dr Suess he wrote and illustrated 46 books – all of them now classics holding treasured places in hearts and minds across generations.
In his honour, and because it was lots of fun, we have made a set of Suess-inspired posters to encourage positive behaviour for learning principles in the classroom. They list, in simple language, the main qualities held by students who are safe, respectful learners.
The posters are A3 in size, but can be reduced to fit neatly on A4 papers as well.
You can view them in our shop. We hope you like them!
